It appears that the New owners of UFC WME-IMG is cleaning house.
A UFC official told Sporting News the layoffs were occurring but wouldn't say exactly how many people were let go.
Sporting News confirmed an earlier report by MMAJunkie that said the layoffs would include four top UFC executives: Garry Cook, chief global brand officer and head of international business development; Marshall Zelaznik, chief content officer; Ken Berger, executive vice president/general manager, Asia; and Jamie Pollack, senior vice president of global content.
In recent weeks, several prominent figures within the company have all resigned, including longtime matchmaker Joe Silva, UFC Brazil Vice President and General Manager Giovanni Decker and Vice President of Public Relations Dave Sholler.
According to multiple sources, WME-IMG plans on making the changes to bring in its own people, resulting in a reportedly very low morale within the company, particularly at the Las Vegas headquarters
