Dan Schneier of Fox Sports reports that the Kansas City Chiefs signed tight end Travis Kelce to a contract extension
The Chiefs and Kelce have agreed to a five-year, $46 million extension with $20.5 million guaranteed, as confirmed by FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo.
The Chiefs drafted Kelce in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the No. 63 selection overall. Kelce missed his entire rookie season after undergoing microfracture knee surgery. Over the past two seasons, Kelce has compiled 139 receptions for 1,737 yards receiving and touchdowns -- he has played in all 32 regular-season games since the start of the 2014 season.
Kelce's next contract extension comes less than a week after the Philadelphia Eagles signed tight end Zach Ertz to a five-year, $42.5 million contract extension.
