According to Re/code, Apple has decided it won't bid on the digital rights to stream the NFL's "Thursday Night Football" package next season.
The reasoning behind it is because Apple reportedly believes that the NFL is asking for too much money and Apple does not believe it is worth it anymore.
With Apple no longer interested, that leaves Facebook, Verizon, Amazon and Yahoo who are still interested in the deal. And while it’s unclear how much the NFL is asking, both CBS and NBC paid $225 million for every 5 games shown on TV and via their respective cable-subscription only services.
