The New York Giants have been Manning’s team since 2004, and has led them to 2 super bowl victories.
Since 2011, only one playoff appearance, and after last season’s early exit versus the Green Bay Packers. There have been a lot of questions with the Giants, and what direction they want to go. As of now the Giants do not have Eli Manning’s successor on the team.
They will need to make a decision after this season on the future of Manning. Could it be 2004 all over again for the Giants, when they traded with the then-San Diego Chargers for a Quarterback and some picks. However, the San Diego Chargers did not get to a super bowl up till last season.
However, the Giants have more problems beyond Manning. Mainly Odell Beckham Jr. and his over the top antics. Manning has called out Beckham Jr. the past 2 seasons, and it has not worked. Also the Head Coach Ben McAdoo is having play-calling issues with Manning. They have only scored 3 touchdowns on the season (in 3 games).
Right now, the Giants are 0-3 and there season is slipping away. Many of the experts had the New York Giants, a playoff team for 2017. Many questions have occurred for the Giants, as they need to rebound and quickly. They play of Eli Manning will need to improve in a hurry, if not this season could be over before Halloween.
Eventually, the Eli Manning era will be over and the Giants will need to get a quarterback to replace him. Its only a matter of when, not if the Giants will get a quarterback next off season. The Giants will need to concentrate on saving this season, then worry about the off season.
